Close Up and Macro
Reduce your minimum focusing distance and increase magnification without a dedicated Macro Lens
Get Close Up
Close-up lenses let you shoot macro-style detail without swapping to a dedicated macro lens. NiSi Close-Up Lenses (77mm, 58mm, and 49mm) shorten minimum focus distance so you can capture textures, small subjects, and fine detail with more magnification.
Use An Existing Telephoto Lens
Telephoto lenses often can't focus close enough to fill the frame with small details. Add a NiSi Close-Up Lens to shift focus to a much closer working distance—while keeping telephoto compression and background blur. Typical working distances: 77mm 8.5" – 12" (21.6 – 30.5 cm) • 58mm 3.5" – 8.5" (8.9 – 21.6 cm) • 49mm 0.8" – 5.5" (2.0 – 14.0 cm)
77mm Close Up Lens
Turn a telephoto into a macro-ready setup—ideal for 70–300mm lenses. Doublet APO glass + multi-nano coatings help keep detail sharp and color clean. Includes step-up rings for 67mm and 72mm threads, with an optimal working distance of 8.5" – 12" (21.6 – 30.5 cm). Includes caps and a zippered pouch. Optional adapters can expand compatibility to other thread sizes.
58mm Close Up Lens
NiSi Close-Up Lens Kit NC 58 mm features doublet APO glass + multi-nano coatings for sharp, clean close-ups and smooth background blur. With a +5 diopter, it suits 24–250mm (APS-C) or 35–250mm (full-frame), with a working distance of 3.5" – 8.5" (8.9 – 21.6 cm). Includes step-up rings for 49mm and 52mm threads. Optional 62mm adapter expands compatibility.
49mm Close Up Lens
Made for smaller lenses and compact kits. Featuring doublet APO glass and multi-nano coatings, it keeps close-up detail sharp with clean, accurate color. With a +9 diopter, it pairs perfectly with 90mm, 100mm, and 105mm macro lenses, converting 1:1 macro to 2:1—effectively doubling the size of your subject in the frame. Working distance is approximately 0.8" – 5.5" (2.0 – 14.0 cm) for dramatic magnification. Includes protective caps and a pouch for easy carry.
Doublet APO Glass for Clean, Sharp Detail
NiSi close-up lenses use a doublet APO optical design to help reduce fringing and keep detail crisp. Expect cleaner edges, better micro-contrast, and more natural color in close-up shots.
Multi-Nano Coating for Better Contrast and Flare Control
Multi-nano coatings help reduce flare and ghosting—especially useful on reflective subjects like rings, water droplets, and glossy surfaces. This keeps contrast stronger and colors cleaner in close-up light.
One Close-Up Lens, Multiple Lenses in Your Kit
With included step rings (and optional adapters), a NiSi Close-Up Lens can fit multiple lenses in your bag. Carry one compact tool and be ready for detail shots anytime.
Macro Shots Without Carrying a Macro Lens
Perfect for real-world shoots. A wedding photographer can capture rings, shoes, florals, and cake details in seconds—then remove it and keep shooting portraits. Lighter to carry and faster to use than a dedicated macro lens.
Screw On, Get Close, Start Shooting
No complicated setup—just thread it on and shoot. Focus normally, then fine-tune by moving slightly within the working distance for perfect detail and composition.
Macro Focusing Rail NM-180S
Add precision to close-up shots with smooth, repeatable camera movement—great for focus stacking. Features a 180mm rail with 160mm adjustment and a 360° rotating clamp. Includes 1/4" and 3/8" mounts for quick tripod setup.
Quick Adjustment Macro Rail NM-200S
Built for fast framing changes plus fine micro-adjustments. Features a 200mm rail with 180mm adjustment, push-button quick repositioning, and 360° rotation. Includes an integrated Arca-type clamp and plate for quick mounting.
Description
The NiSi Close Up Lens Kit NC 58mm (with 49 and 52mm adaptors) is the most effective way to achieve a closer minimal focal distance. The magnification achieved depends on the focal range of lenses. It will be higher with longer focal lengths. The diopters of NiSi 58mm Close-up
lens is +5 and is made of double optical corrective glass with apochromatic design and muti-nano coating. This enables advanced resolution, natural color with almost no purple/green fringing both within focus and In bokeh.
The magnification will be 1:1 at a focal length of 120mm.
The NiSi Close Up Lens Kit NC 58mm (with 49 and 52mm adaptors) has no vignetting at 35mm on a full-frame sensor camera and 24mm on a APS-C sensor camera.
The 58mm Close Up Lens is available for:
1. Lenses with 58mm filter thread. Focal length 24-250mm prime/zoom/macro
tenses for APS-C frame.
2. Lenses with 58mm filter thread. Focal length 35-250mm prime/zoom/macro
lenses for full frame.
3. Macro lenses with a filter thread of 58mm with a focal length over 50mm
We recommend a working distance of 9-22cm.
The working distance will be shorter when you combine the NiSi close-up lens with a macro lens.
The NiSi Close Up Lens Kit NC 58mm (with 49 and 52mm adaptors) includes:
- Close up lens 58mm
- Adaptor ring for 49mm and 52mm
- Protective case
